Humira and fevers... | Arthritis Information

So I go to the doctor today to get some kind of dx and cortisone cream about all this itchiness. She is running bloodwork and urine sample and for now said take benadryl and use cortisone lotion.

But I had a 99.8 fever.  What?  So I don't have sneezing or coughing or stomach issues and I dunno.  Emailed RD.  Will get blood work back Monday.

So that's all.  Just complaining.  Thanks for listening....
Good luck with your blood work. Hope the itching subsides! Thanks!  You know I emailed RD and he immediately thought it was Arava or Plaq.  He said stop both (he was planning to take me off them in time b/c I don't think they do much and Plaq. is rough on my stomach).  He said if itching stops in 1-2 days, it is Plaq.  If longer, Arava, and he would give me that drug to get it out of my system.

So I didn't have a fever this afternoon though.  99.8 is pretty high for an error but I am wondering, I had just taken Mobic 10 minutes earlier, I wonder if that cuts down the fever.  Will see again in AM.  when I had "chronic fatigue syndrome" for about a year, my temp was always between 99 and 100.  wonder if it was the ra back then...
My temp is always very low now. I'll feel feverish but the thermometer says 96.8 like it's dyslexic My dr always tells me that unless it's 100.5 don't worry about it.  I don't really agree.  I usually run 96.5 to 97.  Anything near 99 and I can feel it.rocckyd- were your temps always like this or just since RA. Mine used to be "normal" Always like that.  I remember my mom always wrote a note with my emergency card at school that she would like a call if my temp. was 99 or above.  I've asked my RD about it and he just said the body is strange-really is no normal.  But I guess if you take the people who run around 100 and those around 97, you get the 98.6 average.  I know that at my school if you are 100.3, you are supposed to be sent home.  No question.  But, the nurse will encourage parents if it is at 100.

I am on Enbrel and have had low grade fevers for over a year.  in the last 3-4 months I did have strep throat 4 times and treated.  But I still have the low fever. It spikes in the mid to late afternoon, and I can feel it.  I feel nasty and my head gets hot.

It nice to know I'm not alone here,
nev
