OT Swallows Day Parade | Arthritis Information

 

They celebrate the return of the swallows to San Juan Capistrano, CA.  Love swallows.  Today they are having a Swallows Day Parade.  Sounds like nice Spring thing.Forgot www.swallowsparade.com I've been there! All my life I enjoyed the phenomenon of thousands of swallows suddenly arriving on March 19, St Joseph's Day every year. I'm farther up north now and forgot all about it. I wonder if they still come in such huge numbers. Although it probably can be explained scientifically by now, I always had a happy wonder at the Miracle of the timing.

Hey- what happened?  My posting is said to be posted at the wrong time by the wrong person!  It's a good thing this was such a pleasant little topic.  If it was medical, it could have been very confusing... why did CathyMarie say that ...she doesn't have that problem! I think they do.  I've never been there but have wanted to go down sometime because it is such a nice Spring miracle.JSNM- Snow... that's hysterical!  I like our California swallows-day much more than buzzards! Snow- We used to have a barn that was at the edge of our property since the beginning of time and every year the barn swallows would come nest in it. The township bought up all the farm land around us and the barn and took it down.  I don't know where the generations of birds went.  Some tried our garage but they were not safe with the cats.
