swollen parotid glands | Arthritis Information

Are driving me crazy. Couldn't even sleep on my left side this weekend. Anyone else have this and have ideas as to how to get this to stop?I think I know what you mean..

though mine have never hurt really bad, they've been tender... and some times when I lay down I feel like they are going to choke me out... like across my windpipe.

I never even heard of these glands....Debra, if they're bothering you that much you should have them checked out by your primary. The cause can be blockage, drug side effects, compression, and can be a disease symptom. Have you had a cold? Lindythey are the larger salivary glands, wantto......

Nope Lin B, no cold. Mine swell off and on, but for the first time on my left side I can feel sort of a hardness, maybe half he size of a pea? Anyway, hurts enough that for 3 days i can't lay on that side. Perhaps you're right, I should go to primary...I just figured once the swelling goes so will it.

I'd have it checked out...hopefully it's nothing but could be a sign of a deeper issue.
