Do you notice when your Humira wears off? | Arthritis Information

It never seems to fail... I do shots on Tuesdays and the weekend before my shot I get the "tinges" coming back. Usually its in my knee or ankle or a random finger and its not ever full blown but I can feel the creakiness coming back like I need oil because I am squeaking from the RA sneaking back.

Does anyone else notice when their Humira is wearing off? I keep wondering if I should have tried Enbrel but Humira seems to work for like 99% of my RA and I just have a hard time imagining doing shots weekly when they hurt like a bee sting full of alcohol.

I cant complain though because I can move my hands now, I can sleep at night, my hands and wrists dont go as numb at night like they used to all the time, my knee bends, the bump on my wrist is basically gone, and I am almost ALMOST symptom free **knock on wood**
Sounds like it's working for you so don't go upsetting the apple cart.

I was doing Ok before I started Humira. The only noticeable difference for me was that I seemed to have more stamina.
When taking the dog for a walk I could stay out longer.

Just lately I feel that every thing is not working as good as it once used to, the little niggles are creeping back.

I've had some stress (family) to deal with recently and I hope that when that subsides, so will the niggles.
That does not answer your question, does it. Sorry about that. I could tell when Humira and Enbrel were wearing off.  I havn't found anything that lasts as long as it tells you it will.  I take MTX on Thursdays, but on Monday's, the puffy red fingers are always back, with Humira, or Enbrel and Orencia...If it's working on most things, I'd wait to switch until it isn't working on a lot of your symptoms.  When I first started taking Humira, it always seemed to wear off a couple of days before my next shot. However, once I'd been taking it for 6 or 7 months, and I'd bumped up my MTX dose from 7.5 to 10mg, the relief began lasting the whole two weeks. I'm now at the point where I can skip a shot (if I have an infection) with only minor stiffness.
Well, I can sure tell when my Humira shot is wearing off.  I didn't have that problem with the Enbrel, but I was also on MTX (which seems to be the secret for me) at the time.  2X weekly shots started wearing off at about the 11 day mark, but moved down to 8 days.  I am now on 1X weekly, and I feel like I am getting about 3 good days a week.  It sure is rough without the MTX.

Idk how long I should wait before trying something else...
