This is a series of photos that I took out on the back verandah a few weeks ago.  We have a friendly Golden Orb spider who makes a web each evening.  One evening she had a male admirer come for a visit.  It was a short courtship, ending in death for the little man.  The whole thing took about 5 minutes.

One more fascinating aspect of nature......

Fascinating sequence of events Pam..
I've learnt something from your pictorial.

How's the camera work going in general, I've been a bit quite.

Just as an extra Pam, you can make your links click able by enclosing the address like this

Bodak2009-03-24 01:20:11Yeah I saw that on the Spider ** site.....LOL......Fascinating camera work. Well done.Beautiful!  Really really nice, Pammy, thanks! Incredible, even though spiders aren't my favorites; they still fascinate me.  LindyNice!!  I love them.. I"ll share w/ my 13 y/old when I get home. I had no idea what I was going to see when I opened this thread, but I would have bet money that it wasn't spiders mating! Thanks for the pics!
My husband has no idea how lucky he is... That's pretty sweet Pammy.Wow, simply facinating Pammy. Great photography.

loved it Pammy!   cannot wait to show it to my DH who absolutely loves spiders.  he makes cages for them and feeds them and names them and keeps them in the shop.  yeah i know it is alittle nuts.....   but it is an honor to get a spider named after you.

Great photos and a nice lesson in nature.

Cheers, Shug
That was so cool!  Creepy, but cool!
