Ok... so i always forget | Arthritis Information

I was laying in bed last night and the only part of my body that was hurting to the point of me focusing on it was my lower lower back like my tail bone area. It was still effecting my right leg some with dull pain.

I thought I might have hurt it from when I decided to be "normal" and go outside and sit down on the ground. Well... when I sit on the ground it is like free falling, because I just cannot lower myself low enough to the ground without just plopping.

So... I figured I hurt my tailbone and then I remembered that same night, I went to get into the car and my right hip popped really loud and painful. So... Then I was not surw which caused me to have even more pain to the point my pain meds were not even helping.

Then last night it came to me, when I went to roll and the area of my pain popped in a row half way up my spine. It was inflammed again! After that area poppedn like it did, my pain went away and has not been back since.

What was inflammed again? My sacroiliac joint.

I forgot that joint and how it loves to be inflammed LOL!

It was the problem of all my what I kept saying lower back, except it was that area that was bothering me. I just thought it was my tailbone, but it was that joint again.

How easy it is to forget problems when they go away. Joonie, I am so excited for you!  I hope this is your time, girl!  You are due, for sure!  Go, go, go and have loads of fun! Joonie,

I read your post about being feeling so much better after your treatment of Remicade and I also hit on that you had an IV of Solemedrol well thats the key when that wears off it is worse than ever. I have had several rounds of that and everytime it wore off I was worse than ever. I hope that you will find releif soon. I feel for you. I have the same inflamation in my saciliac joint and I tell you It can be like your tailbone is breaking. Fell better soon will be my prayer for you. Laura
Hi Laura! Thank you for the prayers! They are greatly appreciated.

No, I normally do not get worse after getting the solumedrol IV when I am getting it the same time as my Remicade infusion. The Remicade does what it is suppose to do when I get it, but the problem is we have not figured out how many weeks before the next infusion. I know I can last 5 weeks and 6 weeks I am back to swelling and flaring and by 8 weeks I am in full blown flare mode. She recently moved me to every 5 weeks. So... I get to see how that will work. I am hoping that will be the right frequency time!

I hope you are feeling well and you have a good rest of the week!
this pain can be totally unrelated to RA.
You have had child, right?
Carrying and/or delivering a baby can cause this issue.
Your hip is probably out of alignment (sounds like a car doesn't it?)
you can help get it back into alignment by doing two things.
Walking (not fast but for a little while) a couple times a day concentration on your posture and holding in your stomach muscles...... and by doing this exercise.
(Sometimes this exercise works alone and quickly)
lay on the floor near a wall (foot side is wall such as if you were going to stand on the wall) scootch down til approximately 24 inches from the wall is your bumm...  bend your legs and put your feet flat on the wall.. put your hands facing the floor and under the sac joint on either side to support it.
First push on that wall slowly and steadily pushing harder for a long count of three. Rest.. do other leg.. rest.... do this five times on each side for your first attempt...
doing both these things... not difficult things.. not hard exercises... have helped me get my sac joint back into alignment w/ my hips and get rid of the pain...
(you can do this exercise w/ a mate on their hands and knees and your feet on either side of their head on the shoulders and they provide your resistance while  you push)
walk 2X a day... pay attention to posture and holding in stomach muscles... and the exercises in the a.m and pm...  there are other exercises for the lower lumbar region. but these are specifically for the sac joint..(I had 9  months of PT for double herniated disc)
good luck to you, joonie.......
