OT: our update | Arthritis Information

Well, after today I'm not sure when I'll be able to check in. Tomorrow everything will be thrown into a truck and we'll be cleaning up here. Then early Sunday morning it's off to sunny Cali! We're hoping to make it there by Mon evening. As soon as I have internet access, I'll give an update.

CO weather was even kind enough to give us blizzard conditions and about 11 inches of snow as a parting gift yesterday! I think the state is going to miss us.

Hope everyone has a superfantastic and extra-comfortable day! Happy Trails.....

Thank you so much!
I am actually proud of myself, Snow! I've done most of the packing as DH has still been working his regular schedule. It's been slow-going, but most everything is done! (Not so much in the kitchen.... that stuff is heavy!
Alrighty, then. Breaktime is over. I'll talk to you guys soon!
Mel, be sure to take good care of yourself! I send you my best wishes for an uneventful move: save the adventures for afterward. Shug Are you gonna change your name to Cali-Mo?

Hugs,

Pip
Bonvoyage!  A safe and happy and flare free trip to you and dh!  I envy you the adventure and look forward to hearing from you soon for the update! (((((())))))  (extra () for the trip!) Hope  you have a safe and happy trip.  I lived in California for 23 years and loved every minute of it; well, maybe not my commute but other than that it was great.  The state has a lot to offer if you take advantage of it.  Take care and am looking forward to hear your trip stories.  LindyTake care on those roads and may you never look back. Mo? Nah... I'm Mel through and through! Maybe CaliMel? It sounds like some type of lotion product!!

Thanks for the well wishes, everyone. I'm almost completely done packing! WOOT! It's starting to wear on me though. I really don't want to take the vicodin.... I'm going to hold out as long as I can. BUT I'm maxed out on naproxen and it's not doing anything for me. I don't have time to be hurty!!
Opinions: should I take the vicodin now to be proactive? Or hold out longer?

Take it now before the pain gets ahead of you and the vicodin is no more effective than the NSAIDS you have been taking.
Mel, I would take the Vicodin, if I was you. If you let it go too long, it won't help as well.
What part of California are you coming to? I was born in San Diego County, and, except for 4 years in Connecticut about 40 years ago, I have lived here all my life.
We don't have the seasons in Southern California, but it is a beautiful place to live and has lots of things to do.

Don't over-do! (That's easy for me to say, huh?)

Have a safe trip! Hope to hear from you soon.

Hugs, Nini
Best of luck. A grand adventure should do your spirit good. All the best to you! How exciting! Take care of yourself along the way! Most likely my last post until we reach the Pacific.

Never try to pack and clean with a 2yr old present.
Saying goodbyes - Don't try to fit all your closest friends into a 24hr period.
Taking vicodin and assisting with snow shoveling is a horrendous idea.
Laundry is never done no matter how much you've done.
There is always a MISC box.

I'm tired, sore and about to be heavily medicated! CHEERS!!!

Hope you all have a superfantastic and extra-comfortable day!!

Wishing you safe travels! Hope everything goes smoothly.
