Well this morning about 1 am  I woke up realizing something was different.

Ah haaa... no fever. for the first time since a week ago Friday I wasn't either  burning up or wracked with chills.

And I can actually take a real deep breath without a lot of pain OR coughing myself nearly unconscious.

And the crap I'm coughing up isn't dark green and brown any more.

I'm very  tired and dozing on and off a lot, but this morning I ate 2 poached eggs and a slice of toast.. Whooo hooo me!!!

I'm telling you, if today had been like yesterday, I would have told Mark to take me to the hospital. enough of this stoic crap.

ehhhh ick.. I havent been this sick since I had pneumonia  Christmas of 02, and before that when I developed Cardiomyopathy.. both times I spent a week in the hospital.

oh and like I said to Joonie.. the funny thing? as sick as I've been the past 9-10 days, my joints don't hurt at all.. Nothing. I mean its like before my first flare. No remicade  for almost
2 months and I don't hurt.

kathy_in_wlsv2009-03-29 11:42:32so glad to hear that you're doing so much better, Kath!! on't push yourself.. but take it easy no matter how much better you feel you are in a weakened state....best to you!

I have to think, wow.. I wonder what the APers can say about an infection taking away your RA??  Hmm.
Maybe the antibiotics have some connection.....who knows anymore.  I'm so glad you're feeling better.  I was starting to worry about you.  Sometimes pneumonia is so hard to kick.  It wipes you out for weeks on end.  Remember baby steps....you were really sick.  LindyYAY!!! Happy to hear you are starting to feel better! Always a good thing.Kathy - I am so glad you are doing better.  I think you are my third poster I know in here who got a sick as you did.  What a hard winter for illness.  I am surprised I didn't catch anything as my co-workers all caught it and the cough went on and on and on.  Keep getting better and I hope your family is doing okay too during a very hard time.  Take care ~~ Cathy

Kathy... hooray for you! Now be careful not to overdo just because you are feeling better!

This APer would say it depends on which theory is in ascendence depending on what Kathy is doing.  If she's on antibiotics...the answer is obvious EXCEPT if abx are broad spectrum ones.  If thats the case, she's got a heck of a big back lash coming and to prepare I'd suggest getting back on the Remicade ASAP.

If, however, she is not on abx - then there is a theory out there that says 'when the body is fighting off an infection, then the disease goes into remission.'  Other info about this theory is available on the net.

Hi Kathy, I hope your recovery from your illness is progressing just as you and your physician planned.

Take care of yourself. Shug
