Can you will yourself not to flare? Can you will your inflammation away? Can you will your pain away?

Sometimes I can get the pain to stop, but the RA disease itself, no.  When it was spreading into my entire body and I felt it infiltrate every cell, I tried with all my might to stop it, but it didn't work, obviously.  I guess that's why its called a disease.  I think you can sit around and say "I hurt, I feel like crap....I can't do anything" and before you know it.....that's the way you feel.

On the other hand....I think you can say to yourself "I feel good today.....I can't do that. I am strong" and before you know it......that's the way you feel.

So yeah, I think you can will yourself into feeling better. Does it make you well all the time? No...but it even helps you feel better when you really don't. Positive attitude. It's the best medicine I've used to date.
I think being positive helps  and is important but I know during my onset I tried my best and then it just beat me down. I tried so hard to get well, did everything I was told to do and I just kept getting worse and worse. RA kicked my ass. Then I kicked it's ass. Now we've been  duking it out and I say we are both holding our own.... will it away?  No!  or none of us would be sick!!
but we can take the day and make it the best possible day for us... give  yourself a positive focus before your day even begins
