New drug just approved.  I have been in this clinical trial for over 2 years and it has been a miracle drug for me.   I feel like a normal person.

pyskadlo38722.5992592593I've been watching for the FDA approval of Orencia, and am considering changing from Kineret to it.  But this link says aproval has not been given yet.  Is it approved or not? It's approved and should be available by the end of Feb. Great news for us! I'm so hoping it isn't found to exacerbate MS symptoms like Enbrel, Remicade and Humira.  Because I also have MS, I can only take Kineret (biologic) and it's done well.  But this stuff seems like it might be even better.  My rheumy is looking into the central nervous system interactions...I am 'on' this drug.  Well I am supposed to be.  I started a trial a couple of weeks ago to see if people with undifferentiated arthritis who have a high risk of developing RA (ie positive anti ccp) can have the development of RA stopped or posponed by being given 6 months worth of IV of abatacept.  I have had 2 iv's so far, one over 2 weeks ago and one just on wednesday there and I can't say I have noticed anything yet so sadly i think i must have the placebo, although I am not sure how quickly it is supposed to work. Psykadlo,
Do you take anything with abatacept?
MarkM,
With Abatacept (Orencia) I also take 2 Methotrexate pills weekly along with Folic Acid. Plus 1mg of prednisone daily.
