OT: We made it! | Arthritis Information

Just wanted to let everyone know we made it ok. Got here on Tuesday night. Found a place, moved are stuff in and are still in the midst of packing. The people here are mostly RUDE!! And everyone seems to be going somewhere... fast. 8 lines of highway and most people drive like they're at Indy! It's just a lot to get used to after living away from huge city life for almost 3 years. I miss the cold weather, clean air and my friends and neighbors back in CO. I'm sure I'll get used to Cali eventually. Right now I'm gonna give it negative two out of 5 stars. Glad you all got there safe and sound...so sorry you're feeling so rough though...hope it doesn't last too long.Am so glad that you made it safely.  I love California but it will take awhile for you to get used to it.  Are you in No. or So. Ca.?  LindyGlad you made it safely and found somewhere to live so quickly.  I bet the weather is nice...glad you're there......... the worst is over.

just settle in.. be yourself and you'll find yourselves adjusting easily...

Hope it gets better soon... Glad you made it safely. Hopefully your flare will go away ASAP and that you will get adjusted to your new place and new state soon. I miss living out in the country too. City life is too fast for my liking. Thanks, everyone! I'm thinking we'll be adjusted once we get through the introductory period. And just think, if we make it to the 30-day mark, the state issues us our own LexusBMWMercedes SUV!! Free to all residents, of course. Welcome to the OC! Well, I'm off to purchase a yoga mat, mochalattecappaespresso, bluetooth and inquire about a boob job.   ROFLMAO
Seriously though, I know it will get better once we get acclimated (and I probably spelled that all kinds of wrong. Forgive me, I'm exhausted!) The weather is nice, but it's definitely warmer. I heard from friends back home in CO that we're missing out on some major snow. At least the evenings chill down though. That's a plus-side. As for the flare, I'm trying to be a trooper through it, but it's totally kicking my arse. I'm crossing my eyes in hopes that it's gone tomorrow. I'd cross my fingers, but... you know....   I hope Cali grows on you and feels like home really soon.Linncn-

Stay warm and dry!!!
Thanks jan.......I'll try.  Let's hope this'll be the last  big snow of the season.Best wishes in your new home.  I hope you and your family make it your own quickly and can learn to love your new lives.

Keep that snow in the midwest please -DO NOT send it to the northeast!!!
You Lucky Duck!! Winter has hit Colorado full force. I would take a few rude people if it came with warmer weather...LOL. I wish you luck - I can only imagine the culture shock, but I hope it feels like home in short order and your flare subsides soon.
Best wishes in your new home.  I hope you and your family make it your own quickly and can learn to love your new lives. Oh hell no! I'm not keeping it here!
Believe her Karen.  She already sent it my way.  She keeps doing that.  I've asked her not to send her storms before, but off she sends them anyway.

Its so funny that you say Californians are rude... they are, btw. A couple of summers ago I befriended a woman who had moved into our neighborhood from Georgia. During all of our outings, chit chats, shopping trips, afternoons taking the kids to the pool, she made a point to mention the rudeness Californians. "Y'all are so RUDE!" She would declare. After a while this began to grate on the women who had made an effort to include her and make her family feel welcome. Perhaps all Georgians are clueless? I don't know...

Anyway Mel...Let me officially welcome you to the great state of California. Don't worry, we'll grow on you!Glad you got thru the move! I hope the flare goes away really soon for you!
