OT: I did a 5k!! | Arthritis Information
It took me 45 minutes to finish but I did it!
I ran the first mile and then my ankle, knee and hip started hurting all of course only on my right side so I had to walk/jog the rest of the way. The whole thing made every joint in my hands swell up, they looked terrible. Who knew running would affect my hands??
I am sooo paying for it today. I think my hip, knee and ankle are ok, but my leg muscles are sore!
ANyway, I am glad I did it!
Good for you!!! You should be so proud of yourself.
Congrats on your accomplisment, and an accomplishment it is!
Hugs,
Pip
Very well done. I am sorry you are hurting but what an achievement for you.WTG! Hope you don't hurt for too long! Thanks guys! I am really proud of myself for doing it and 50 bucks went to charity so that is good too! 25 for me and 25 for DH.
I thought he was going to leave me because at the begining he went off running and I couldn't keep up. But then he looped around and was going the other way and actually back tracked to stay with me. :)
Suzzane...I didn't drink a lot before I ran. It was early in the morning and all I had before the run was a glass of OJ. That is probably why I was swollen. I should have drank a lot more. I did drink during the race. It was pretty funny because every body running by grabbed the cup, drank and then threw it as they kept going but not me! I was going so slow that I stopped!
You should be so pround of yourself. That was such a great achievement.Cah~
