I am at work right now and have restricted internet options...What are the specific reslults for RA and what are the levels of severe to moderate? How quick can this thing progress?  My first flare was first of March and I know have low energy; constant pain in fingers and toes, sore and achy all over, and stiff as a board for hours when I wake up. Some days are better than others as well as worse than others. Thanks for any feedback...I read alot of these posts and you guys and gals are some awesome and caring....Hi Tallboy

I'm not sure what you mean by specific results but if you are asking about what happens with RA if its not treated then the disease results in joint deformity, joint damage, severe pain multiple what you are feeling by 100 and you have end stage out of control RA.

We get several definitions of disease activity levels.  We recently had a discussion on what defines mild, moderate, severe etc.  Just click here for more information.

Have you started treatment yet

I was referring to the blood work that they do...the levels of the ANA or something to that nature...my doctor wanted to due one to two more sessions of blood work before moving forward....I also tested positive for lupus so he is wants to confirm that my testings were accurate....Therefore I haven't started treatment....ok..there really isn't a direct range where they define disease level since the tests are mostly indicators.  Obviously the more positive the tests are the more likely you are to actually have RA or Lupus  and the more positive the more likely to have a more serious disease course but there isn't an 100% coorelation.
Your dr will use the blood work plus his physical examination to come to a diagnosis..its tough because early symptoms of both diseases are so similarso it could be RA or Lupus? IS it possible to have both? what is Lupus exactly?

yep it could be either, neither or both..its enough to drive you crazy.  People with both call it Rhupus.  The ANA does tend to be positive in Lupus and negative in RA. There are different types of lupus..I've attached a link describing them for you
