I'm still here... Happy Easter! | Arthritis Information

Hi everybody,

I don't know if anyone noticed my absence, but I haven't posted for 2 weeks.
I did, however, check in every so often to read much of what you all did. As always, I learned things. I really needed the laughs from the jokes! I don't seem to have the blues all the time and have figured out it is this whole mess about losing my home that does it. I'm so daunted by the sorting, selling, packing, giving away of our belongings, that I have barely begun. Some days my fingers are hurty, my shoulder still isn't pain free after those 2 surgeries in 08, my hips and feet hurt and the Great Fatigue already interferes with my everyday plan of doing the regular necessities so it's hard to do anything extra.  I'm going to stop whining now because I want to get into happy mode for Easter.

About Easter...
Daughters are too far away to come, hubby has to work, doggie is in heaven. I'm alone.

Luckily, I have my 88yr old mom! She lives over an hour away so I'm leaving in an hour to go stay overnight. Tomorrow, Easter, we'll go to church then out to brunch. I'll nap, then return home for evening with hubby. So, I'll have a nice day after all. Life's good!

I hope you each have a very lovely Easter too.
Cathy
Moving is awful Cathy! I can't imagine having to do it with RA.
I hope you and your mom are able to enjoy a quiet Easter together.
Hugs,
LeilaHas it really been than long? Sorry- it's not that I didn't miss you - it's just thaat time flies so fast anymore... Sounds like you had good reason for the blues last you posted...

Enjoy your time with mom- that's the stuff life is made of!!!
Enjoy your visit with your mom.....Happy Easter to you too!!!!
Hope you have a great Easter with your mom - I bet it means more to her than you can imagine. I'm sorry for your house woes - I could understand that being paralyzing. Hope you enjoyed your day with your mom and that things seem brighter for you this Easter day.   Packing and moving has to be stressful for you.  Try to find a balance in your day and set aside time for yourself to rest.

Take care
Cathy
Happy Easter Cathy

Thanks everybody for your kind comments.

My Mom wanted to go to the lengthy church service with annual adult baptisms on Sat eve then we went to Easter Mass the next morning too... I should get bonus points for all that!

We had joined my sister and family at church on Easter then she invited us to her house where she had a lovely brunch all prepared. It was very nice.

On my way home,  I stopped to visit my husband at work, trying to sell cars (he got one!). I had brought the Easter basket with little chocolate eggs that my sister gave me and he took me all around, cane and all, announcing the Easter Bunny had arrived-ha!

Then I came home, fed my fish and bird and went to bed until hubby came home. We went in our hottub, he made us dinner, we watched a sappy but nice movie.

So, it was a good day,
Cathy
