Why is it that my own effective treatment is decidedly not mainstream?
Why is it that I refuse to take new blockbuster drugs (for any reason) but instead rely on generics, tried and true, if I have to take something?
Because it makes the smear and fear tactics used by some here sound so much better...though I totally mean this as non-judgmental....

you are maybe not in as bad a shape? and I really hesitate to say, "yet".... but,   You say yourself that you run rings around younger people.... you see, I did too, Jas...  I amazed my peers by what I was able to accomplish on any given day....

I hope you never need anything more than what you use now.... and that someday you need none of it...
Good point.

However, you do seem to protest the more alternative treatments instead of the obvious flaws in traditional medicine.  I've yet to see a post about study structure et al on a traditional med.

Hugs,

Pip

am I missing the point?  or is it atop my head?
fish oil is an anti=inflammatory???  in the large doses it may remove the need to use mainstream choices?

am I missing the point?  or is it atop my head?  Really - How many people do you think Lynn has helped?  Yet she hasn't got a success rate?  Your decision on acid/alkaline is based on what to claim it is 'junk science'?  The point of a BB is for people to say what works or does not work for them.  The criteria you use is slanted pro-study and not for ancedotal evidence.  That is your decision...for somebody who uses fish oil in massive amounts, I find that ...interesting.

The point is...out of all the people on this board you are the most likely to be able to shift thru all the BS in a published study...yet you never do.

I've never made a claim of a cure rate - just people who have used AP and had success with it.

You don't like what I said to a person who asked about what I know about it?  That's your problem.  My board certified rheumatologist fish oil 'doesn't work'.  My board certified GI doc said 'orange juice' caused some of my stomach damage.  Lord knows we have to double check these guys all the time...but I'm assuming they had basic chem classes too.

Hope your taxes are not what's making you so touchy today.

Pip
What is wrong with you today?
I "protest" claims of 90% "success rates" in dubious studies;
I concur. I also protest evasiveness about those rates when an honest and forthright explanation of how they were arrived at would suffice.
As for my taxes - it pisses me off to have to give ,000 to the federal government, but it's not ruining my day.  I'm about to go out and stimulate the local economy.
As for my taxes - it pisses me off to have to give ,000 to the federal government, but it's not ruining my day.  I'm about to go out and stimulate the local economy.
I've been stimulating the economy all day PS...I don't claim any kind of success/cure rate....I  post articles that I find interesting and I share what has/hasn't worked for me.

I think the people here are smart enough to sort through the info and ask their RD's when they have a question......That's what I do Hmmmm....Pip cant drink orange juice because it damaged her stomach yet she can gulp down a lemon juice drink.....Dalmatinka -

Please reference Jasmines take on how it converts to alkaline.

Pip
so pip how did orange juice ruin your stomach, more likely the abx
Really - How many people do you think Lynn has helped?
she doesn't CLAIM to have helped the masses........

that's the difference...

Lynn doesn't share the information for the accolades.......  she LIKES being a good person and bringing us important info.......

you'll never get it.
Mabus -

No, this was pre-diagnosis and why they insisted I get on PPI's - which some research says can help start these diseases.  I tried to hold out but the GERD was too bad and a year later had PRA/RA.

With abx I was able to wean the PPI's.  Go AP!

Babs -

You will never get it -  Lynn has you for accolades.  That's your function.  This whole subject came out because certain people say AP doesn't 1) work for severe or 2) doesn't have the 'power' of the biologics.  I said, it does work for severe and my friends on AP have had a success rate double the biologics.

I think this is great tho - don't you?  Maybe we'll get some research to settle the question once and for all.

Pip
well..we've been waiting on your research for quite some time now.....either it's disorganized... or you are fixing your "files" ... or you've already told us so why should you have to again...........   so none of us willl ever "get it"  because "it" doesn't exist.

it all gets boring PIP.

redundantredundantredundantredundantredundantredundant

also..

I SAY AP does NOT work on severe RA......

yeah you said AP works for everyone and now you are backpeddling..personally your personal research is tainted and cherry picked for your best results and the rest is 86'ed and as far as RB, the majority are on combo of abx and conventional, even gimp was, so much for ap success. just today i have counted 8 that tried ap and it didn;t work for them....hmmmm

Then we agree to disagree?

Because I do say it works on severe.

I do not cherry pick - the people will speak for themselves.

GoGo has weaned down and is almost done, I think.

Way wrong on the Roadback and I invite anybody who doubts that to lurk there and see for themselves - but Mabus, you might regret that if they do, so many join there when they watch how it works.

Can you give me that list of 8 again?  I'd like to know which were mine and which were not.

Pip

Edited to add - www.roadback.org for those not afraid to lurk and be lured into healing.  LOL
Pip!2009-04-15 20:03:31when you give us your list of peeps, hahaha yeah buddy

RB is a slow boring place which you dont even do public posting on
mabus2009-04-15 20:14:14I was never one of your peeps.  I went on AP after consultation with my doctor.  She was totally against it and reluctantly agreed, hmmm....should have listened to her.  She is after all a doctor, which you are not.  So you should stop pretending to be one and go back to college and med school and work hard for lets see about 8-10 years and then you will be qualified to give advice.

we agree that you pontificate .........

it's irrelevant who the list of 8 is.. if they offset your list of probably about that number... your success go into the toilet......... where I believe they originated anyway?
