I was all set to have my first treatment of Remicade got up at 6am and drove an hour and got settled in the nurse ask me how things are going and I told her the the last infussion of Orencia did nothing at all for me but I was looking forward to trying something new. She then ask if I was having any problems with anything and I told her yes I had really bad mouth ulcers since last weeks methotrexate and she got the DR. he came in and looked at me ask a few questions and said sorry Laura we can't do the treatment today. So I am scheldue for next Thursday. Man I can't believe it. These mouth ulcers are so bad that I can't eat (not a bad thing could maybe loose some weight) but they are making me so misrable plus he will probally take me off MTX again and thats what got me in trouble last time. I have been under alot of stress with my Dad being in hospital and dealing with no sleep so I am sure thats what happened to make them flare up so bad. Well anyway I was dissappointed. I hope next week will be better and you can get your infusion.I am very happy to say that I finally had my first round of Remicade and everyhting went good. I am going to have a positive attitude that this will help me. I go back in 2 weeks and I guess it sounds like he is going to try me on every six weeks to start out. I met others today that have had goos results and some that have switched from it to Orencia. I am the opposite I started on Orencia. Well any way happy to try something new for some relief.
