Glad this dreary weekend is almost over... | Arthritis Information

Yuck! Rain, rain, rain. My back yard is one big puddle, and there's a small stream running through our basement. I can't wait until the warm weather comes and stays!!!! We have had warm weather all week and weekend and man... I have not even noticed it most days because our house stays so cool.

I only knew it was 80 degrees outside when I went outside LOL!

I HATE to sweat! I love cold weather better.

No sump pump. Most houses in my neighborhood are old and very few have sump pumps. It's not a big deal - we all know the basement is going to get damp when there's an overabundance of rain. The basements also have low ceilings (less than 7 feet) and so no one has a finished basement. It's more than adequate for the boilers, laundry appliances and extra freezers/refrigerators, as well as storage. But it's just another dreary reminder of the dismal weather when I have to hop over the basement stream to do the laundry!

It's still drizzling out today; hopefully tomorrow the sun will be out for a bit. Unfortunately the temp will be back down to the 50's. Our weekend was the total opposite. We had temps close to 90 and sunny, sunny, sunny! Nice weekend for working in the yard; however I'm afraid I wasn't handling the warm temps as well as I would have liked. Hopefully I'll adjust as the season moves on.

We've gone from Winter to Summer in a matter of weeks!
