Hello! I found this board looking for information to help my mom who has polymyalgia. She is doing well, but could be better, and I'm better at researching than she is, so here I am! I also have arthritis in my left knee area which came after my leg healed from a severe break in that area. I'm thrilled to say that 3 years later, I am medication free (at least from arthritis pain!), and hope the good fortune continues. I am seriously overweight which probably contributed to the severity of the break, and am now on the road to a normal weight. I have lost 35 pounds in the last year and feel better already. I still have a long way to go, but am greatly encouraged by my progress! I hope I can learn a lot here, and can contribute as well. I already have a thread posted in the polymyalgia forum looking for information. It's great to be here!
