Anyone else get hungry after reading the symptom sausage fingers?

Every time I read that symptom... I think... I sure can go for a few sausage links!

Man... now I am hungry for sausage links! Chuck a banger on a piece of WHITE bread with the onions and ketchup...heaven!LOL - I hate sausage so in all honesty "sausage fingers" always brings a brief wave of nausea.  And then it brings memories of when I first came down with the damn RA and my fingers were so inflamed I couldn't put my wedding rings on.  Normally my wedding rings are too loose, as we got married when I was 7 months pregnant (and EVERYTHING was huge!).  Right now I don't wear them because they fall off.  But when this first hit, I couldn't even get them on my finger! Oh Joonie I love sausages but I cant eat them. My husband makes his own with spices and garlic...they smell wonderful. Our Asda sells a chutney, caramlised onion and red wine pork sausage, when Im cooking them for the family the smell is the best thing.
LOL - I hate sausage so in all honesty "sausage fingers" always brings a brief wave of nausea.
Well I bet I could convince you to eat sausage after trying ours! I think most sausage you get in the US is made from minced meats? A lot of ours are too but the best are made from a sausage meat so fine, and I add chilli, onion, carrots, parsley, and spices. Wrap in pastry, bake, and serve with a sweet chilli sauce...divine!
Of course they are not at all good for anyone, but make a devilish treat!

LOL - I hate sausage so in all honesty "sausage fingers" always brings a brief wave of nausea.
Chuck a banger on a piece of WHITE bread with the onions and ketchup...heaven!

a bit of NZ Slang?  Love it.....  "chuck a banger"

Be prepared to be bewildered.

Lyn another good thing to do with sausages is, Get a large Baking potato and and apple corer, stick the corer into the middle of the  potato  and then take a spicy sausage out of its skin and push into the hole of the potato, rub the potato with olive oil and rock salt and bake in oven as you would a baked potato.   Yummy!!Ughhhh... it's way too early to read about this!!! For Lyn I think its the middle of the Night One look at my sausage fingers and toes and feet ...it takes my appetite away totally.  And I won't even look at the 'cancles' (ankles that bloat into calves).I hate wearing skirts that show them.  It's either pants or loooong skirts.
One look at my sausage fingers and toes and feet ...it takes my appetite away totally.  And I won't even look at the 'cancles' (ankles that bloat into calves).I hate wearing skirts that show them.  It's either pants or loooong skirts.
I have very sore sausage fingers today with one very large (swollen) right knee and also have cancles...I love that.  May I use it at my next appt.

Sorry Jas, but I love sausage.  I eat only small amounts due to diet but Lyndzee I'd love to have the recipe for the sausage bake.  Would you share?  Lindy

Lin, I dont think I can help you as I have no idea what sausagemeat is called in the States, or even if it is produced. It is a very smooth mix, no discernable pieces of meat seen and probably has unusable bits in it..lolol. Tastes great tho'
If you can get it, Scotch Eggs are lovely to make too.
I will go google and see what it may be called your way.

ETA: OK, go to this link and the top right and top left photos show what sausagemeat looks like, the middle photo at top shows some kind of sausage rolls but mine are bigger and  (

Thanks Lynd, the sausage meat in the site is just like ours but ground several more times so that it's smoother, almost like a pate.  L

Oh Lyn I love scotch eggs What happens if that cow, that liver you ate, was a drunkard? Then I would think that liver was much more nasty LOL!

I DO NOT LIKE LIVER! My mommy use to try to make me eat it when I was a kid, that and spegehtti! EWWW!!! When I was a kid I went to bed a many of times without dinner, because she said if I was not going to eat what she made then go to bed. So... I did!
I cannot stomach liver
I cannot stomach liver

Tell you something else I love, which is ridiculous considering I dont eat sausage, black pudding. I dont know what you call it in the states, in Scotland they call it blood pudding. I cant bear to think about the content but its great with a 'grill up'. Bacon, egg, tomatoes, mushrooms and black pudding.... yummy

We actually have a 'grill up as a treat'.

I adore 'salsicce di sangue' an Italian blood sausage made from fresh blood mixed with breadcrumbs, spices, herbs etc. Lovely boiled and served with potatos and a bitter leaf salad.  I must be an ' offal' person ( lolol) as I adore all the weird bits of sheep and cattle like sweetbreads, brains, liver, kidneys, tongue etc.  And lambs tails when we can get them. Most farmers ring tails these days.

Now Im thinking fegato alla veneziana ( liver )  for dinner! ...............all these foods that i cant eat!!!
Sarah...I did chuckle at the thought of your brother wearing his yorkshire pud on his head...lol.

I love sausage, especially Italian, cant eat it because of gout
