For those wondering, my 88 year old mom is considering this.

I've seen infommercials about this. I'll be interested to hear how she does with it. There's been lots of times where I'd have done anything for relief....but luckily I've bene doing a lot better lately. I realize that could change with one wrong move.....but at this point I'm managing very well.

Keep us updated if she decides to do it.
ahh.. I see..
What I had was traction..........they made me a hammock!  but I was desperate between the back pain and the sciatica.... I needed something..
I walked like a woman your mother's age!! and I was in my late 30's!!  I also worked with alot of aquatic therapies at that same time.

I wish her relief.. I know the pain.

Interesting read... aside from my past experiences... I have some stenosis in my cervical joints now... perhaps that would be an option for that

THANKS!!
Well,

I'm certainly hoping that it will help Mom. It breaks my heart to see her walk like that. It's a saddening reminder that she is getting so much older and maybe closer to leaving those that love her so much.

Best to your mom, Lev, I know how you feel.  I hope it is the answer for her and, if she chooses the surgery, her recovery is speedy.  Let us know what she decides and how she does. Hi Lev, I've considered this treatment.  I had surgical decompression done 1 month after I was diagnosed with a severe onset of RA.  Absolutely no body parts worked.  I was bed ridden with RA and sciatica from a blown disk.  The surgical decompression relief was tremendous and now 10 years later the symptoms are returning.  If she has it done, please update and let us know how she's doing.  I'm so sorry for her because I know the pain.  LindyI'm sorry about your mom Lev. I hope she is able to find relief.LinB,

Click on the link at the first post. Probably Mom would not get the surgery but they have a new non-surgery spinal decompression with a very high pain reducing rate. Beg your pardon, should have said non sugical spinal decompression. We will be talking to the doctor soon about the treatment and will certainly keep you updated. Thank yous all.
