Swine Flu now in my city-Everett , WA | Arthritis Information

Wow, this is scary. Just read a dr. has the swine flu, and she was at the Everett clinic where I've gone before just a few minutes from my house.

Maybe I've missed it, I haven't been on here in a while, but does anyone have any thoughts on what would happen if someone with an immune disorder contracted the Swine flu? Would they be able to fight it off just as well as someone that is healthy?

I dont normally get the flu Kelly, a lot of people with RA seem to be lucky that way. This swine flu maybe different though and I would take no chances.

We have a friend in USA who came back from Mexico City last week and is now sick but the Doctors think it may be just dodgy food.

I don't ever remember having the flu either and they say if you have had it you remember it. Of course I've gotten a couple flu shots since being on Humira.....but before that I don't know why I never got it.

In general though I'm pretty fortunate not to get sick much. Guess the good Lord feels like he's given me enough illnes with RA. (Knocking on wood right now)
