Dont know if this has been posted before but interesting.  Lyn I drink a rosehip syryp, refreshing on a hot day when its ice cold. We were given it in the UK as children for coldsYes, we were given rosehip syrup mixed with water as babies, was full of VitC but Im pretty sure no mums use it these days!
I have been researching Professor Willich who did the trials with Rosehip in the link above and it has been widely published it seems. I am going to see if I can source some of those particular capsules, check with my Pharmacist and give them my own trial.

I have one experience w/ rosehips...  when my oldest son was four years he began w/ alot of bruising and bleeding w/ peticia (sp?) I took him to the pediatrician and was referred to Childrens' Hospital for testing....they were fearful that he had leukemia.
At Childrens' they discovered he had ITP (Idiopathic thrombocytopenic purpura ) which was a low platelet making a temporary hemophelia type disease.  There was no medication and that this had to run it's course - that being a year to 18 months.
I told a friend.... a nutritionist... she said to begin giving him 1000 Vit C and Rosehips.. she said the rosehips helps him absorb and utilize MORE of the Vit C.
My son was completely in remission from this disease in four months.  The pediatrician at CHOP said: I don't know what you're doing, but you're doing it right and he doesn't have to come back to see us.... I told him about the C and rosehips but he wasn't so sure that was helping  ...............whatever.

so....... your stories make sense in the same context as mine that rosehips helps w/ vitamin absorption.
