Off to the doctor with Vertigo... | Arthritis Information

Having to leave work, but have to come back.  I am tired of health issues.  Blarg.  So I have had fullness in ears while on Humira and dizziness but was not sure if it was Humira side effect or just infection coming forward b/c of Humira, but I had an unexplained bout of vertigo BEFORE Humira and before RA dx (or even joint problems) so this could be interesting.  Poor hubby having to pack up 2 and 4 year old, drive down to get me and take me to doctor.  Just pray that I can get with it enough this afternoon to finish what I've got to do for work.  I don't even know why I am bothering with the doctor, but I guess I should show someone what is going on and it is less time that i will sit in my chair trying to focus without being able to.  Was supposed to go to luncheon but look tipsy when I walk....not whole world spinning but ringing in ears and dizzy, off balance, falling to right side...this has all happened before....Katie , I hope you get some answers to your vertigo. Its very disorientating, I suffered with it for years after banging my head in a boating accident. People seriously thought I was drunk. The ringing in the ears took longer to go and even now i get it mildly.

Im glad you are getting it seen to as lots of things cause those symptoms.

take care
I agree it is good that you are going to the doctor. Let us know what he said and if he ordered any tests. This can be from a range of causes.I hate vertigo! Every so often I get it. Mine is from crystals which form on the inner ear bones. You never know how long it will take for them to dissolve and nothing seems to help it in between...

Hope it goes away quickly for you.
Hope you're feeling better soon!

Let us know what the doctor says.
How was your appointment?  I hope they can help you out.....Well I just saw an NP.  No fever, BP issues, etc.  Throat looks good.  I am on that dexamethasone or what not for my itching, she said that might be masking an infection (I had a cold last week and was worried about sinus infection but took Humira anyway).  So its that, or Humira side effect, or whatever happened 2 years ago (which they never figured out because they guessed MS first, and by the time I made it to the ENT most of my symptoms were gone--but it was very much like an inner ear issue).

Still a bit dizzy, unstable, tired.  NP prescribed something to combat inner ear issues and said they can do ENT referral if necessary. I am going to see how I feel on Monday, and decide then whether to get a referral, and then also see once I take Humira again how things go.  Also my entire left arm fell asleep in the middle of the night last night, while I was sleeping on my RIGHT side.

I have been beaten into the submission of whatever that saying is about worrying about what you can control and letting go of the rest.  I will try to be good about following up but it's so frustrating.  I guess I should just say I will schedule ENT on Monday morning, hopefully I will still have symptoms when they get me in.

Back to work...sort of.  It's FRIDAY!
