I was talking to Babs ( yes we can talk sometimes..lol) about sunlight and its benefits as I wasnt so sure about them apart from mentally the sun makes me feel better. I was looking up on the net and found this article that i found nteresting, so if you are planing a holiday in the sun or like me sitting the garden in the sunshine there are a few things to be careful of.

I love the sun, not only does it make me feel mentally much happier but I feel great if I've got a little bit of a tan going. Having lived abroad (cyrpus & malta) for over 20 years its always been our (hubby and me) intention to retire to the sun. HOWEVER, since being diagnosed with RA I have found that the sun makes my hands swell horribly which makes me feel like everything is flaring. I think I'm going to have to retire to the antartic brrrrrrr Taking methotrexate has made me more sensitive to the sun, so I take steps to protect my skin -- sunblock, a hat, etc.   It was beautiful here yesterday and I worked in the yard picking up trash and fertilizing the garden. Then at 2pm, thought I'd sit on the deck for awhile. End of April and I get sunburned in Alaska! I am always a day late and a dollar short, but thanks for the warning Pin. It's nice again today, but I don't think I'll do a repeat of yesterday. Guess I'll go eat one of my chewy lemon Vitamin D's. The sun definately can help w/ moods. Well documented.
I've got very fair skin and yes, w/ some of the meds, people need to be really careful about their sun exposure.
 i'm stocked w/ sunscreen!!! lol
I like spf 70, Neutrogena the best!
SPF70 ..... OMG you must be fair. I use 30 on my face and 15/20 on the bod.  My son got his worst sunburn in Oz. He had a t-shirt on, the sky was black with rain clouds and the rain was tropically torrential, so he played in the pool and he blistered..... got heat stroke the whole biz, thats the UV for you. So we do have to be careful even when you think its OK.
