A topic of discussion about disability gadgets ans aids was taking place in the Aper's thread so I thought Id move it to here so no  one missed it.

I have had my kitchen redesigned so Its user friendly for me, I have found some great gadgets out there to use.

I seem to be fine using my coffee pot but must use two hands when it is full..... I could use the little broom gadget even if for things that aren't dirt....... I often belabor my youngest to pick up things for me ...like the dogs toys so I can vacuum.... hips seem to be one of my worst joints.  thanks for those, pinnie. We use a pod coffee maker.  No carafe to drop and break, and every cup is fresh-brewed.  In addition we don't have to agree on what kind of coffee to drink.  I like the lighter roasts; he likes the dark stuff.   Another thing I've always found indispensable - a hand-held nutcracker for use in opening bottles with small caps (such as soda bottles, or various condiments). I saw a robot vacuum advertised on HSN.  A woman with lupus and another with fibromyalgia said they used it and it was helpful.  Looks good if you can afford it.
