OT - Lonely cat | Arthritis Information

Ughhh.... the Tiny Cat is once again longing for her soul mate.  I've got to make the appointment with the vet to get her girly parts fixed... she's singing love songs all night long.  And she doesn't sing well. The boys will be so indebted to you if you have her girly parts taken care of.  Poor baby.....I always feel so sorry for the frustrated kitty girls and boys who are locked in and can't get out to sit on the fence and howl in the moonlight.  Lindy
The boys will be so indebted to you if you have her girly parts taken care of.  Poor baby.....I always feel so sorry for the frustrated kitty girls and boys who are locked in and can't get out to sit on the fence and howl in the moonlight.  Lindy
Yea, now that I don't have any excuses any more, I'm going to have to take her in.  When we first got her, we delayed the spaying mainly because the other cat is damn near 20 pounds and Tiny Cat was, well, Tiny.  She's still only about 5 pounds, but they no longer fight so I'm not worried about her getting beaten up after surgery.  The other "excuse" was having to take time off from work to take her, pick her up, and keep an eye on here.  Since I'm SAHM now I can easily find a few days where I don't have any responsibilities outside the house so I can make sure she's OK.

I have to admit it's fun "talking" to her... in her "romantic" state any time you talk "at" her she answers back with a soulful MEOWWWW, and she's quite affectionate

The warmer weather is freaking her out again. She just lays around trying not to break a sweat LOL! Weird part... she stays on top of the door. I would think it is hotter up there than on the floor, no? But it is much more safer for her up there, as son cannot reach her and pester her and be "mean" to her.

The other day... son had the bright idea to put a small Dora the Explorer backpack on her. It was cute, and then she got away from son climbed up the door and sat on top, and then she fell off, she landed on her feet, but still. The backpack kinda messed with her balance. So... I took it off of her, so she would not fall off anymore. But now she is trying to sleep on top of the door again. and she falls asleep and falls off. CRAZY CAT! The top of the door is only like less than 2inches wide. I wish she would come back into my room to be safe from son. He does not mess with her while she is in my room, because I am in here most of the time and make him leave her alone. But when I am out in the livingroom he can sneak her, because she is not right in front of me like she is when she is laying on my bed or on top of my TV.

joonie2009-05-06 23:44:48Did you ever get her spayed?  If not, does she go into heat very often? Nope, not yet. No, she does not seem to go into heat often. Like one every 2 months. Lasts maybe about a week.

I was reading up on getting her spayed, and I worry about keeping my son from messing with her as well as my daughter. They fight over her and they both love to hold her and they just cannot keep their hands off of her, even after being told to leave her alone. They both sneak around to get her and they take her off into their room and shut the door. When I notice she is not in her normal places, I will go looking for her. But I do not go looking for her too often. I just worry when I do get her spayed that they might do something to her stitches or stress her out bad.

I think I will get it done after daughter is out of school, as daughter will be over her granny's all the time, then daughter & son will not fight over her. Poor cat... I keep telling her I will get a new kitty so they will give her a break. She just looks at me like yeah right.
My little one likes to dress up the Tiny Cat in army fatigues.  He has a dog he got at Build-a-Bear workshop that has his own little Army uniform (complete with hat) and guess what... it fits the TinyCat perfectly.  Right down to the hole for the tail.  I can't tell you how many times I've been hollered at by a 5-pound drill sargeant, begging me to help her out of her uniform.
