Fibro Go AWAY! | Arthritis Information

So... Wednsday we had storms all day, and tornado watches & warnings. I woke up very lightheaded, figured it was the increase of Lyrica. So... I did not do any of the things I had planned on doing, plus I was hurting again, and am now swelled and joints are all warm to the touch.

Then I realized that my neck was making that swishing sound again. Inflammation. and that my neck/shoulders/upper back muscles were all very tense. It has been probably a couple of months maybe less that I have been having these problems with my neck/shoulders/upperback. And the swishing sound I hear when I move my neck was not as much as it once was. Now... it is all back as of Wednsday.

I even have the burning in my shoulder blades when I use my arms or hands for any amount of time and when I sit up for awhile without laying down. It just feels like a really bad sunburn under my skin. Kinda hard to explain. But it is painful and if I try to ignore it, the worse it gets and the worse it gets, the longer it takes for it to dissipate. To bad aloe does not work on soothing it

So... I am kinda feeling like the Lyrica is not doing so well for the Fibro, or what I was told was fibro, which is the above problem. But then again... I just started Lyrica like 5 days ago, and was at 25mg for 3 days and now I am at 50mg for 3 days. Then I get to move up to 75mg for 3 more days, and then hold at 100mg.

I hope tomorrow is better for me both RA & Fibro wise. Weather should be better tomorrow and the rest of the week. I hope so anyways.

I was just liking that I was doing good again and my swelling was down alot. But not now. Stupid weather!

My hubby said my hip felt hot. I felt it and yep it sure enough was. And I could not even feel my hip bone. So... it is inflammed again. I know my sacroiliac joints are inflammed again, because they keep popping and is hurting, PLUS I am having a hard time walking, but not at my knees so much, it is at my hips. they feel very stiff and weighted down. My legs feel like they weigh 100lbs.

I checked my BP when we went into K-Mart. I could feel my pulse. So... I decided to see what the machine said it was. My BP was 132/98... pulse 138. That is just walking from the car, thru the front doors, turning left and walking 4 aisle down to the BP machine. I sat there for a while taking it repeatedly. After about 10mins (probably longer) of sitting there and hitting the button over and over again. My BP stayed at 123/89 after 4 different readings it did not change... and my pulse went down to 123. I guess because I was in pain. My pulse fluctuates between rapid and being ok. Like when I went to get my infusion... my BP was low 117/76... and my pulse was 72.

I wonder if the nortriptyline was causing me to have a rapid pulse. My cardiologist said that I was on a high amount and that could cause a rapid pulse and high BP. Both have been within normal range since I stopped the nortriptyline way back some months ago. But I still have high BP, I am sure otherwise wouldn't the coreg make my BP go below normal if I did not need it anymore? PLUS, I still have a rapid pulse some times for no go reason.

I am not sure. Guess time for a GP visit as well. I have an appt with cardiologist, I think, in July. Need to call and see if I missed that appt or not.

I hate visiting doctors, but I need to do another batch of appts for all of them. Just have not felt up to making the appts yet. I guess I will call all of them tomorrow. I need to start the plaquinel soon... so eye Dr appt needs to be made. I know that is the least intrusive Dr appt, but doctor appts snow ball for me

Well... I am going to try to sleep. Been sleeping well, since I started the Lyrica. But has done squat for Fibro pain and problems. I guess I will take the sleeping a little better, for now. Other wise I am going to complain Definitely get an appointment with your GP - he or she can determine if you need to see a cardiologist sooner.  At the very least the GP can consult with the cardiologist to come up with an interim plan.  That BP and pulse are HIGH!  Please don't put this off.  You might also ask for a referral to a nutritionist who can help you plan meals that are heart-healthy so you can perhaps bring that BP down a few points naturally.  The nutritionist should also be able to work with you to help you plan meals that you can actually prepare, given the limitations of your RA and fibro.  There are lots of things that can be done.  Eating healthy does not have to be expensive or take lots of time and skill in the kitchen.
