Predinose Update | Arthritis Information

 

I don't know what is happening more.  After 4 days of prednisone(20 mg) I am not feeling any better than I was taking aproxyn 1000mg.  My neck is still stiff.  and My plantar fascitis and achille tendonitis are not going away.  Pain is so bad that it is going all the way to back of my knee.  I could not get up from bed today

Do you have any muscle relaxers? It sounds like you have some fibromyalgia going on along with everything else.

I was always told that the pred won't help much with the muscle stuff. 

Hate that you are still feeling so awful.  Can you talk to your dr. tomorrow?  Otherwise, you will have the whole weekend-not fun.

I agree- your issues don't sound like prednisone takes care of them. You need a good pain med and maybe PT. Thank u all,  I will talk to my rheumy tomorrow.  Will voltaren gel help?  may be I should try it for pain.  Want to be free, I am going for physical thearapy.That's good Veenu. My husband gets the same periodically. PT and shots of cortisone are what helps him. I'm sorry you are feeling poorly Veenu - if it helps, Pred did nothing for me.  Go back and get some more help. Hi Veenu, I think its worth trying the antiinflammatory and after checking with your GP possibly some Endep for nerve pain, I have achilles tendonitis and plantar fasciitis, its agony at times, good luck from Janie.
