Happy Mother's Day- hope all the mother's have an extra special day! Happy Mothers' Day my friends!!  Hope you have a wonderful pain-free day!!Happy Mother's Day to everyone, even the guys - some of you guys are both mom and dad.  Stan said he'd take me to dinner for Mother's Day, we'll be in Vegas so I guess I won't turn down dinner.  I'm no dummy!!  I'll be seeing one of my best friends on Sun. and I was like her mom, sister, and friend all rolled into one.  It will be great to see her.  Her mom will be there, so it should be fun.  I haven't seen her for about a year.   I won't see my son until late summer, but he'll call me mother's day.  Lindy

Count me in with the good wishes!

Happy Mother's Day

Here's hoping you all have a great day!
OK, I will join in on the advanced wishes for a very Happy Mother's Day!

My motherhood came about the hard way after years of illness (endrometriosis with many surgeries). We were finally successful in adopting our first baby girl when she was 10weeks old and I was 29. A year and 1/2 later, we welcomed our second baby girl, age 5 months. They are lovely young women in their twenties now and very devoted to us. Just looking at them takes my breath away. I still can't believe how lucky I am to be their Mom!

My younger daughter Lelia (from Korea), is coming to spend all Sunday morning to night with me. I know we'll go to church in am, not sure after that, then my daily long nap. She says she's treating us to dinner and movie later. I want to see that new nature movie (Earth?) about 3 families of animals... elephants, whales, and ?.

My older daughter, Vanessa, is all tied up with her Santa Barbara fire terror right now. I can't go help at this time.
My sister has our mom for the big day this year. We take turns so we also have a year inbetween to do different activities with our daughters. It's worked out great for all.

So, that's all the mothers and daughters in my family.
I hope all you and any mothers in your life have a beautiful day!

CathyMarie2009-05-09 01:13:07Last year for Mother's Day, I got my mom a packet of violet seeds.  She'd been searching high and low for them and couldn't find any.  And I sent her a smushy card telling why I love her so much and how blessed I am to be her daughter.  Little did we know that that would be our last Mother's Day together. She died five months later, unexpectedly.  So this year this day is mixed for me.  My mom is gone, but it makes me smile (and choke up) to think of her.  And I have been blessed with 3 wonderful children who have made me proud and have been such a joy to know and love.
I hope for all it will be a happy day to enjoy the mom who has loved you so much for so long, and for all the moms, enjoy being loved by your children :)  Happy Mother's Day!Yes, my deceased mother was born in Indiana!!!!

CathyMarie....I loved reading your post about your 2 daughters! It put a smile on my face

I had my Mother's Day with my mother yesterday and tonight will be with my husband's mother.  Tomorrow, my son and his family, along with my daughter and her soon to be husband (one week today and they'll be married) will be over for a nice visit and supper.  Looking forward to it!
