Just had an appt with my rheumy. I told her I wanted to switch meds and she agreed to try remicade..had my TB test right then and there. Im just worried how it will work my job, im gonna have to miss work for the infusions an di have so many other appts too..AH

joints arent good, but honestly other things have been worse so i havnt been focused on the joints cause other stuff needs my attnetion more. o the joys of multiple issues..Good luck Little Mermaid. I hope this will make a big difference for you.All the best to you Little mermaid!  Are you all done school? You need a med change-you have had a rough time of it.  Remicade worked wonders for me for years.  Hopefully, you will be a person who will be able to wait 8 weeks+ for the infusions.  My prinicpals wife actually goes 10 weeks.  I was in the 6 week catagory.

Is this good timing for you?  I am assuming you are on break from college.  If that's the case-this might be the best answer for you.  I know school is hard with RA-anything to make it better.  Did you dr. mention when you might be able to start the infusions?
I am home from school for until the end of august, so this is a pretty good time for me, although the summer is my worst time joint wise so I would have liked to start earlier, but o well what can I do?

I want remicade to work so bad, i was allergic to Humira, been on ebrel for a long time, and its ok, it works a little but no were near enough....

im not sure when I will be able to start, i had the tb test today and she is calling my insurance, hopefully I will find out more when I go in to get the TB test checked on thurs hopefully I can start real soon! good luckYay for you!!  Hope it is just what you need.Best of luck! Hey, Littlemermaid.

I hope it works for you too!
Glad you were able to find a summer job too! Hope my son finds one- he's home from school too! I hope the Remicade works for you Mermaid. You certainly deserve it. You are more than a trooper, and as I have told you before I really admire how you handle your illness. Hang in there, and I hope your first treatment is soon. joints arent good, but honestly other things have been worse so i havnt been focused on the joints cause other stuff needs my attnetion more. o the joys of multiple issues..[/QUOTE]
