Just bummed......is it the Orencia or the disease.........bummed.  At least I know
why I feel like sh*t.

Debra
I dont know much about Orencia. How long have you been on it for?
Maybe a bit of both, what did your doctor say, maybe you need a change of meds
Sorry you are feeling so bad, i hope it doesnt last too long for you..xx
Out-of-range lab results would certain result in being bummed out! Do you receive these results directly from the lab or from your physician? Was there any cause/effect offered for so many results being out-of-range? Did anyone suggest an immediate repeat to eliminate a possibility that the specimen had been improperly prepared or analyzed?

I am so sorry you are feeling badly and then have to deal with all this as well.

Best wishes, Shug
Sorry you got bad news debrakay. RA  is a very frustrating disease. Sorry you are not feeling well either. Hope things turn around for you.Debra, I hope you have a sit down with your RD soon!  Were your last labs as bad or did this just happen in the last couple of months?  If you can not get to your RD, you should at least go speak to your PCP for a review of any other meds you are on, no?  You certainly deserve answers!

Take care, Debra, and let us know what you find out.

Thanks for the well wishes.  It's "normal" for me to have 2 or 3 out of whack, but never this many things.  And this is the first time the liver was out of range and the GFR went from 89 to 60........

Rheumie sent me the results with a note that he wants everything done again in 3 weeks.

I had 4 Orencia infusions and my blood drawn before my 5th infusion.  It should be interesting as to whether the tests are better or worse.  I'm assuming of they're worse it would be the Orencia...not sure.

I try so hard to make the best of it, keep being active, etc., but the last month I have been so tired and a general feeling of being "not right", more swollen, achy, and "out of it".  So, with the bloodwork at least I knew things weren't in my head....

Anyway, i'll keep you posted and thanks again for the notes.  They really do mean a lot.

"Out of range" doesn't necessarily mean anything.  How far out of range, how much did they drop from the last blood test?  I might not mean anything at all.  Good Luck.

I would be bummed too. Hang in there. You can still flare on Orencia can't you? Did you take something different before you started the Orencia? I'm just curious, and sorry I don't know your history. Don't give up hope, flares happen and then they pass. Sounds like your doctor is concerned enough about your levels that he wants your checked in three weeks. Good doctor. I'm sorry for your frustration your feeling ill. I hope it passes quickly.Try not to let this consume your thoughts. It may just turn around and all be fine. I know it is hard to get a report like that, I have had my share. But I am proof things can turn around even when the deck seems stacked against you. Hoping the best for you.
