How to get motivated to exercise. | Arthritis Information

Hello,

I am having a problem getting motivated to exercise. I actually was going to start walking today but we are having a snow storm.....LOL!

My left knee is in a lot of pain so I have a problem walking for long periods of time.

Any suggestions would be helpful!

Thanks!

Me too.

I have a treadmill  right in our study and will use it for maybe 3  to 5 minutes at a time, several times a day. the tv  or music is on, and  I'm not obligated to go a particular distance.  I can go slow as I want and quit when I want and dont have to limp my way home.

Good luck

I try to at least go for a walk every day.  Now I have some very obnoxious dogs that can be VERY CONVINCING it is what keeps me moving.  I'm not able to walk just yet though, my knees still are a little swollen.  If you have cable, I exercise to " body Sculp with Gilad", It has been great for me, it's just right for RA.  I no
longer have any upper body problems .  I do it four times a week.
The show is on Fit tv channel. I hope you can find it. Catherine,

I'd love to find the channel. Is it VERY low inpact exercising? I have a gazelle, it like a glider. Very low
impact and the arms go back and forth.

Thanks for the info!

I got a gazelle for Christmas and I can actually do it! I get bored with it quickly. I've worked my way up to 10 piddly little minutes and I'm wondering how I will ever manage to do it for 30. Music helps some. What in the world do the exercize freaks think about during all those hours in the gym on those machines?

I don't have this problem with swimming. I love the sensation of the water, and being able to move with ease and maybe even a little grace.
