Sad | Arthritis Information

My older sister passed away yesterday morning. She was not just my sister, but also my godmother. In many ways she was more of a mother to me than our mom.

She had been sick about a year and a half, but I sincerely thought she would beat it.

We will most likely head up north tomorrow or Tuesday, depending on arrangements.

The part that was really hard is we had Ally's birthday party yesterday afternoon.. 11 little first graders, and some siblings..

The party went well, and sort of kept my mind off things.

Kathy, I am so very sorry for your loss. I know the depth of the pain you feel cannot be put to ease by words, but then nothing helps when your heart is broken. Try and find some comfort in your memories of her, of her love for you and yours for her. Take heart in what a good person she was - I only have to read your post to know you are such a person, so knowing she was like a mother to you, I know she must have been very special indeed.

I can't even imagine your pain nor do I want to try. Just to think about losing someone I love is way too painful. Hopefully you will find some peace with your loss in the near future.

Hi Kathy, I am so very sorry for your loss, please know that at this awful time for you, you will run thru a gamut of emotions, a lot of them hard to understand, but it is all perfectly normal and in time the pain will be easier to bear. Be kind to yourself, allow yourself to grieve, get angry, laugh at times about the happy memories, and don't feel guilty, your sister would want you to be ok, so best of luck, and I am praying for you, hugs Janie.
