OT My daughter's wedding photos | Arthritis Information

It was a beautiful day and most everything turned out great!  The rain eventually stopped in time so I was thankful for that.  There was only one thing that happened that kind of upset me.  At the rehearsal we were all told where to sit...bride's family...grooms family... immediate family...etc.  My ex mother-in-law was at the rehearsal so she knew where to sit.  So, on the day of the wedding as usual the mother of the bride (me) was to be the last person seated before the brides maids were to come down the aisle.  As I was escorted to my seat, I saw that my ex mother-in-law was there!  I looked at her and waited for her to move down to let me in, but she just looked the other way.  I had to walk in front of the pew and and all the way down to the end.  All I saw during the ceremony was the back of the brides maids.

I didn't let her spoil my day though (even though I'm still very upset about it) and I went on to enjoy my daughter's special day.  When my daughter found out, she was furious!  Other than that, it was a very happy day for us.
Here is a link to just a few photos that she got from the photographer.

Congrats! Glad the rain stopped in time!  I loved the pictures! I'm glad you didn't let the ex MIL upset you. Those darn ex's can do that! Recently my nephew got married. His dad cheated on his mom with his current wife. When it was time for the reception line the dad and current wife tried to orchestrate it so they stood next to "the son" and tried to put my SIL on the other side with the brides parents! What nerve! I felt like taking the current wife out myself.  Well her sister who takes no crap put an end to that right away and said excuse me but the mother of the groom will be standing next to her son and grabbed her by the arm and put her there. My poor SIL made the best of the day too but she was really upset. I don't know why people don't know their place. This woman has her own son's to stand next to when they get married! What a great set of images.
From what I can see the photographer has done a fantastic job.
A lot of fine memories in those.
Thats one rude ex mother inlaw. Glad you had an otherwise wonderful day.

Your daughter is beautiful and so are the pictures.  Sorry that your ex MIL was a pain in the butt, glad you still enjoyed the day.  Congrats!!!

Wow, those pics are amazing.  I really like the black and white ones.  Very beautiful couple.  Kudos to you for not letting the ex mother in law ruin your day.
Phats

Thank you all so much! The photographer was great!  I'm looking forward to seeing the rest of the photos he took.

Wanttobe...I'm glad your SIL's sister made things right and put them in their place.  I just don't get some people.

As far as my ex mil goes...I didn't want to cause a scene and ruin my daughter's day...but I will never be polite to that woman again.
what a lovely bride!!  She's beautiful.  Looks like a lovely wedding...
Sorry your ExMIL wasn't put in her place.
Kelly, what a beautiful bride your daughter was.  I LOVE her hairstyle!!!!  The cathedral is breathtaking too.  I wish them much happiness and a lifetime of love.

Don't let the ex MIL get you down, there's just too much to be happy about.  Don't sweat the small stuff.  You may remember my husband's family (about 10 of them) went to the wrong wedding and sat down at some other bride's wedding, even though we gave them exact instructions where to go 5 minutes before.  We couldn't start the wedding until we found them, so everything started about 1/2 hour late, LOL.

I hope you are able to relax and unwind and pat yourself on the back for a job well done!
Those photographs are so beautiful. I love the one of the entire wedding party on the train tracks. That's awesome!!

What a beautiful church.

I hope they'll be very happy.
