Hi Leenie...I've been taking plaquenil along with methotrexate for about 17 years now and have had no problems with it at all. Just make sure to have regular eye exams while taking plaquenil. To be honest, I'd say for me, plaquenil is the one drug that I've never really worried about as far as side effects go.
