Splash of Neurontin, anyone? | Arthritis Information

I was recently prescribed neurontin for spine-related pain issues, but I'm not sure yet if I really want to take it. (Probably wouldn't hesitate if it were an 'as-needed' type of thing, but, it's not.)

So anyways, anyone here taking this, and if so, any weird side-effects? (I've read about brain fog occurring--I have that bad enough as it is. Borderline idiot here.)

Thanks for any input!

I take it for RA induced peripheral neuropathy; no weird side-effects just a wondrous relief of the burning pain in my extremities, pain-related insomnia, a return to mobility, and for me, and a lifting of the horrible grey blanket of brain fog that shrouded my every action.

I would hate to have to give it up,

Hi, I used to take Neurontin.  I was taking it for 5 or 6 years until my Dr. prescribed Lyrica.  When I first started Neurontin it gave me a buzz for the first week or so.  Actually, it was a very pleasant buzz and I was sort of disappointed when it went away!! You'll have reliev of your symptoms but it will take a few days of buildup of the med in your system.  I took it for RA related peripheral neuropathy and not back issues.  Let us know how you progress.  LindyLadies.. would you check out... I'm going to start a new thread regarding PN>...  I have it.. and I've not taken anything for it... and it's resulting RLS is overwhelming to me at times..
