My little grandson is having a horrible issue.... He's vomiting with every feeding.  He takes Regalen (sp?) for reflux and it could cause vomiting, but it's a catch 22.

my DIL and son are beside themselves.. If you watched this, poor Aidan, he get frightened and tries to stop it... and holds his breath.... it's frightening!!!

Anyway.. his doctors are CHOP (Childrens' Hospital of Phila) rated the best hospital in the US for pediatric issues.....  He isn't being helped there... They are giving my DIL a hard time when AIdan loses a little weight, but they aren't addressing this issue ..... he needs to stop throwing up.

I told her that perhaps she should copy ALL his data (it's 18 inches high as of February) and send to the Mayo to get an analysis of these issues...

Anyone have any clue as to how to attempt something like this........???

thanks
Oh Babs! Poor little Aidan and your whole family who has this worry! I don't know the answer but I just wanted to let you know you'll all be in my prayers. That poor little guy. He is so precious.Babs, IDK what to do either other than offer  you my ability to worry over Aidan too.  I can still see you all in the picture of "Aidan's Army" and see his sweet little face!  All my love and warm wishes and hums of happy tunes for a turn for the positive for him!   I would find another top notch children's hospital...Boston and Cincinnati are number's 1 and 3 in gastro problems and are both within a days drive of Philly.  Pittsburgh is even closer and they are number 6.  How old is Aiden is it possible now that the fear of throwing up is actually making things worsethanks wantto and waddie...
buckeye... I'll pm you.

Thanks... I have found a friend who is from PA who now lives in CO, and she has said given me a direct contact to Mayo for pediatric issues.  We may set up a physican to physician counsel and then appointments... or go directly to the Mayo doc if our doc isn't compliant.

That poor little guy.  What a thing to have to deal with.  I don't know the answer to your question, I like Buckeye's thought though.  I'll be praying for Aidan, his docs and the hwole fam too.

I just got off the phone w/ my son... I said that perhaps the thought of you going somewhere else can motivate these docs into working toward a solution...

thanks, linncn, for your good wishes
Babs, You know how I feel about second opinions even for the little ones if the physicians aren't answering your questions or if you're not stabilizing in a situation where it's possible to stabilize or get better.  If they're not rated #1 in GI pediatric health then I'd take him to the #1.  How old is he and has he gotten any better over a period of time?  Lindy
