I'm awake in the middle of the night | Arthritis Information

I'm awake in the middle of the night. This time it's because I had kind of a bad day and needed 2 naps. I didn't wake up until 7:30pm. DH didn't get home from work (trying to sell cars) until 8 so I didn't miss any evening time with him. This is actually my own fault; I put off my nap so long that my flu feeling was really bad and Ultram didn't help, and I had trouble resting properly. Not good. I got reminded why I must give in to the need of my daily significant Great Fatigue killing midday sleep, and early on before symptoms get fierce. I felt awful and brain fog was causing me to make mistakes on everything I tried doing. The second nap was long and restorative so I actually feel pretty good right now! I think I'll get off here and have fun with quilting (machine only, not hand, so it's ok). I did manage to wash the fabrics earlier, so now I can begin my lapquilt project I've planned for my mom. It's in her favorite colors and using blocks from a pattern in Pioneer times called Wagon Tracks.

So, anyway, here I am awake and all alone and able to do something fun.
We need to take advantage of these kind of moments, don't we? We never know what tomorrow will bring.

I'll probably be asleep in am when you read this, so at this time, I'll wish you all a good day!

I'm still on here and very alert at 2am.  I've been reading on here and my Quilting Board too. Nice because I don't do that everyday now like I used to.  Now, I'm going to go quilt for awhile then I should go try to sleep so I'm not too off tomorrow, although it doesn't really matter as I have no plans or appts.

Good Sunday night from me.... good Monday morning to you.
Hey, CathyMarie.. I've been where you are... I hope you get some rest tonight and dont' completely foul up your schedule...

Hope you're in dreamland now.. at 6:36 a.m East.
story of my life... My life story, also.  I go right to sleep, wake up about 2:30 or so and am wide awake.  Get up for an hour or so, read, bead, and computer until I'm sleepy and then head back to bed.  It isn't every night but at least 3 nights a week.  When I was on high doses of Pred.  I only slept 2 hours at a time then I'd be up for 3 hours, etc., etc.  That went on for four years, so I don't complain much about only waking up for an hour during the night and it's not every night.  It's been much worse.  Just be productive and enjoy the quiet time.  Lindy
