first time | Arthritis Information

This is my first time here and i am looking for information for my mother who has pmr.

Have you guys found this to be a good way to get general information and treatment ideas?

Welcome Lesley, My mother-in-law had PMR. She had it for 23 yrs or so. She woke up one morning and couldn't move without severe pain. Dr put her on prednisone for the whole 20 yrs. Large dose at first then cut back to 2.5 mg. She was never able to stop as she always had severe pain. I know it affects older people and I believe you usually hae a rhuematic condition when you are younger. She had rhuematic fever. Not sure about that but I think. Good luck Pat52
