There was a story on the news that a man in San Diego, when a seagull went after his wife's ice cream cone, hit the seagull with a bat damaging its wings and making it necessary to euthanize. He was being prosecuted but is claiming self-defense. Don't know the outcome. As I've said, I love birds but not those that go after human's food.
