Hi,

I recently heard that pamegranate juice is a great anti-oxidant and good for inflammation. Has anyone tried this and what results have you gotten?

I'm going to go buy some later. Hope it works and I'll tell you how I feel.

Thanks!

I have heard the juices can be very helpful, especially cherry juice. Black chery juice from concentrate...according to a nutritionist i saw.

I have heard that pomegranate juice is really great for fatigue and brain power.

I did use cherry juice over the summer and i do think it might have helped a little bit.

good luck, let us know.

I've never tried Pomegranate juice...never even seen it in the stores. Then again I haven't looked for it either. Sure couldn't hurt to try it. I'll look for it this week when I shop.

Thanks for the tip.

Yes I have heard that pomegranate juice is good for inflamation. Has anyone tried fish oil for inflamation? I have drank pomegranate juice and it's pretty good but pricey. I think anything like the juice or fish oil u have to take them for quite awhile before u would notice any improvement. PatI drink pomegranate/blueberry juice regularly.  We have a Trader Joe's here that carries it.  My favorite store.  It is quite tasty and I was drinking it for its antioxidant properties and it is also supposed to lower cholesterol.  I take fish oil everyday and glucosamine.  I also eat fish at least twice a week.  I buy organic and avoid wheat.  I do eat skinny cow ice creams and licorice.  Roxy,

Thanks for reminding me about Trader Joes. I have one here too. I actually was in Whole Foods and went to pay for the pomegranate juice and it was .99! So, I put it back....yikes! I will definitely check Trader Joes tomorrow. Hope it doesn't tastes too sour.

Thanks!Get it mixed with Cherry or Blueberry.  DELICIOUS !!!!Hi,

i got my pomegranate juice from trader joes. it's not bad at all, not even sour!

i wonder if i have to drink a lot to feel any different?

btw, the price at trader joes was pretty good, better than whole foods.Great.  You reminded me to get some.  Try the one mixed with blueberry juice.   YUMMMMMMMMM

I wonder if Grape Juice and Certo (1 tablespoon with 8 ounces of Grape Juice) drank daily, will help with the RA as Dr Gott, in our newspaper, says will help with the inflammation for the Osteoarthritis sufferers.  I am willing to try it...any one else willing to try it with me?

Certo is Pectin, used for canning jellies and jams.

waddles38753.7389351852waddles,

What is certo and where do they sell it, at a regular
grocery store or a speciality store?

Thanks.

Certo is a Pectin Protein that is used when people can things like jams, jellies and preserves.

You should be able to find it at a regular grocery store.  I am going to the store tomorrow, I will look and see what area it may be in.  I have a Walmart, Big K, Kroger, Harris and Tetter and Food Lion.  Any of these in your area?

Are you going to try it with me?  The more the merrier.  It's won't hurt us to drink it.  Hey, we might come up with a winner.

waddles,

There is a Walmart here but just a regular one. We also have Big K (Kmart)?

What does it tastes like, jam?

Thanks!

Good Morning to all at AI

I hope everyone one is having a good day and if just starting your day...I hope your day will be a good one too.

painrlief,

The Certo has no flavor...which is a good thing.  It won't interfere with the Grape Juice

I found another recipe using the Certo.

This one says to use:

1 teas. of Certo to 3 oz. of unsweetened Grape Juice...3 times a day.

The other recipe I gave out is to be drunk once a day but I don't think I mentioned Unsweetened Grape Juice.  This homeopathic remedy is used for people with Arthritis...it never mention what type of arthritis.

I think you can find it at K-Mart too.   I will ask at the K-Mart in my area.

Dr. Peter Gott has a syndicated column in newspapers around the United States.

Before starting on this remedy.  I would make sure you mention it to your health care provider and see what they may think about it.  We want to make sure we don't do any harm to ourselves and we never know what may inter-act with out medications.

cherries and cherry juice are good for inflammation in  ra. you should drink the cherry juice not the kind with all the sugar in it.

Dear hhra,

I don't know how much pomegranate juice is recommended for ra. For
general antioxidant benefits the amount that was effective in the research
study was very small, less than 1/4 of a cup. So even if pomegranate
juice is costly, one might need only a small amount.   I tried pomegranate
juice for ra, and it did not seem to have an effect. Organic grape and
blueberry juices seem to help, however.
