OT Update on mom and me | Arthritis Information

Hey all, I am just popping in to give you the 411!  Mom has a bacterial infection in her blood showing to be sphingomonas  paucimobilis - a common critter but not so common to infect humans.  We have no idea where she picked it up, though we have been in and out of the hospital and doctors offices enough to have found it there and given the Lupus... well.

She is much better but still in hospital still on IV antibiotics.  If her blood cultures come back clear tomorrow, she will be released and be on oral antibiotics.

I am more than exhausted!  It is an hour drive for me one way and the laundry list of things to do (now including her laundry list!) continue to grow.  I got out of my court date Thursday so I could go see CD and I am working hard not to worry about this visit!

I miss you all!  I have a scant amout of time to be here and want to say I am thinking of all my friends here and hoping your health is holding.  Hopefully, I will have time Thurs. or Fri. to catch up on the news.

I am hummmmmming for you all (even though I am getting side-ways glances in the hospital!)  Best wishes to you and your mom Waddie! Yikes I never heard of whatever it is she has!  Keep us posted! wow...... like you aren't stretched tight already!  Hope this works for Mom.. hope you can maintain no stress on CD visit...

and know..we're humming here too.. at a frantic pace to get things done and happening in a positive light for you and Mum!!
