I have just come back from my Rheumy , Babs and Phats you are both so wrong about my diagnosis. I have been shown cases where there was no swelling, no redness , no stiffness and no pain but bloods were done on a Patient and according to their bloods they had full blown positive RA, then on the other foot there is those with seroneg who have all the swellings , pain etc but bloods show there is nothing wrong with them, I fall into quite a common category so maybe its back to med school for you both, I think you failed your exams
And this, is why for the past year + I have found everything I need on my fibro and possibly returning RA through GOGGLE. Google doesn't judge, or chastise, or tell me it's opinions. It gives me the answers that I need, and on occasion even some support. Somehow, a freakin canadian internet search engine designed by a group of laid back over-intelligent pot smoking kids does me better on a daily basis than a group of supposedly adult-suffering-from-various-RA-diseases people who believe in their little digital world they have SUCH a fountain of knowledge and "love" to give out to people. The thing is, this kind of abuse/patheticness can be found in any internet forum, in any languge, and in any capacity. If I wanted to be abused, I'd rather go to some stupid forum based on life's lesser important events - not something that could literally KILL ME if I don't pay attention to it, treat it, and take care of myself. Adding undue stress when you're sick is JUST. PLAIN. STUPID. For those of you who say "it doesn't stress me, it's no skin off my nose" I call bullsh*t. Anything that raises your adrenaline unnessecarily is a 'stressor" get a dictionary.

but you had said you had no signs of RA.... no swelling.... no signs... yet you were dx'd? That made no sense at all! so, I only questioned it.. and all you had to do was be calm and explain.. instead of being angry.. I wasn't angry nor was I starting anything.. I wanted to better understand.. I have a friend now, who is in denial about her RA and has taken nothing.. Her sister has Lupus and I spent the evening visiting her... we dont' know how to help my friend's sister understand how important this is.. so, if I asked a question.... Interesting since there is no blood test for RA..even the anti ccp is only accurate for about 90% of people with RA. It would be fascinating to hear the rheumatologists reasoning for diagnosing RA when the patient had no signs of the disease. Even the UK follows the ACR criteria for diagnosing dieases. Maybe having no signs of the disease is why so many people fail meds

things that make you wonder Buckeye....the patient was there when I went to see my rheumy, the reason RA was diagnosed with no symptoms was a routine blood test for a family genetic problem. The blood test that diagnosed RA for her was all the markers for underlying inflamation, high esr high levels her ccp , im not a Dr so I dont know her exact figures. I trust my medical team to be accurate as possible on all their patients. We swapped phone numbers and she said she will give me her exact results from all her test for those who are sceptical. Imagine how shocked she was. She has had excellent results in getting all her levels down with enbrel and is doing really well. Something else was masking her RA that too she said she will let me know what the name of it was.Pincushion,

I seem to think so in reading some of your posts.My post about Phats accomplished exactly what I wanted it to. It brought out the fact that Phats has a problem with lesbians/bi's gays etc. She was disgusted at the thought of being one of......THEM.. But then, this does not surprise me about you bunch. You are opposed to any group that is not exactly like you. It is sad. I don't think anyone should be offended by gays. They are a great group of people.
