Has anyone started arava lately? Do you still have to start with a loading dose?My RD started me at 20 mg rather than using the 100 mg loading dose. It seems that different doctors have different regimes re: starting the medication.
The shock to my GI tract was quite remarkable at the 'normal' dose...I can only image what the loading dose must do.
i started without the loading dose... as do a lot of people now..the high level of side effects with the loading dose isn't worth the minimal time savings in hitting an effective doseMy RD started me out at 10 MG, he is way too conservative for me. I didn't experience any s/e.
