Babs there is cartiledge under there also...use ice on the swelling but if the pain doesn't improve call your drthanks.. I will.Babs, you're not alone...we've all done something like that.  Sunday, I turned and reached out at the same time and did something to my back.  Better now but I gimped around for a day.  Sure hope it's better, ice is good.  LindyBabs: In regard to your knee pain, it is possible you have a tear in the miniscus of your knee. People dealing with RA are more prone to tears in the miniscus.  It is possible for those not  dealing with RA to have a tear in their miniscus. Usually comes across as a sharp and sudden unexplainable pain and most times they heal on their own.
This isn't a dx just another possible reason for your pain. *Gentle Hugs*
Hope whatever the problem is will take care of itself.
well.. I didn't know about the cartilage or the miniscus....  I will baby it a bit and see how we manage... I wish I'd brought my collapsible cane!!
