Hello everyone-

I am not new to RA and really don't need advice about anything right now but might later.  I have been reading months worth of post here lately.  It reads like a novel.  I feel like I know most of you already and well I am just happy to be here.  This is a great site!  Can not wait to read more and maybe be helpful to someone along the way.Hi ToBPainFreeAgain...welcome!you got the right attitude!!  Glad to meet you!hi person

Welcome to the board; hope that in the near future the docs will have the right mix of "pills n potions"  to get u relatively free again from pain and stiffness.  I stumbled across this board nearly nine years ago and it was great to find folk who understood what I was experiencing.  So often our family and friends just don't understand, or want to.  I've learnt more about the various meds from folk in here than I ever did from my docs; and there are many useful tips on coping with the disease and with any side effects of medication.  Look forward to hearing more from you.

Lorraine-
You are so right about the pills -n- potions.  Tuesday and Wednesday I felt so normal and so far this morning not doing bad.  I don't know if my Enbrel is starting to work or if I have broken the pain cycle with good pain meds.  Either one is very welcomed.
It is nice to know that there are other people in this world that know what I am going through.  "Friends" see me and think that I have been cured-they don't see that I am struggling and am tired of complaining.  I have to have the greatest husband in the world.
I am greatful for the past two days and I am looking forward to more.  I don't care what got me to this point I just want to stay here.
Hope everyone has a less-painful day today!
Just jump in!Welcome to the mad house! Glad you're here.Welcome!  I look forward to your post!  A supportive DH is good medicine!  I feel the same about my friends, I don't talk much about my RA to them and then they are surprized by it when I have a flare or worse!  They don't mean to be that way, they just don't understand and I get it - if this disease doesn't effect your life directly, you are probably no more aware of it than any other disease and thats okay.

That is why this *place* is so near and dear to my heart, warts and all!

Welcome!
