Tips for Humira | Arthritis Information

I just started to take Humira today, and i am optamistic for the results.

My question is how do you track where you did your last injections because of how you can not inject in the same place.
I have a pic of my belly that i mark where and when i did the injection.
How do you log yours?
Thanks
I don't..I just remember..... I know tonight it is my left side that I take my shot in.. last week was the right side of my stomach.EEEk!   I shoot up pretty well in the same spot every fortnight.

Should I be alternating?
I inject in my thighs and just alternate, I remember.  You could always put it on the calendar.   Lindy

When I used to take Enbrel, I would put it on the calendar.  I would put Enbrel and then as follows:    R-S (right stomach), L-S (left stomach), L-L (left leg), R-L (right leg).  I hope this helps you.

Bodak, the instructions state that you're supposed to change the area of injection every time.  They also say that every injection spot be at least two inches away from each other.  Have you had any problems with using the same spot?

I've never had a problem to date but will make sure that I use the other side tonite. bump ttt I keep a small notebook in my little bag with the alcohol swabs and cotton balls.  I document each shot with day, date, time and where the shot was given (i.e... R Abdomen; L Thigh).  This helps me keep track of where the last shot was - and Heaven knows, I wouldn't remember on my own (or I would "remember" wrong) ~ Gigi  Stephen; I think they say that scar tissue will begin to form if you continue to do the exact same spot every time. Give one spot a little time to heal between injections is the recommended method. Try moving the spot some.

My husband does mine so we do mine in my butt. He alternates side everytime and marks on the desk calendar which side it is because both of us have trouble remembering which side it is. You'd think that between the both of us one of us could remember which side it is....but that doesn't appear to be the case.
I have done it alternating sides on my stomach. Haven't tried my thighs yet.  I supose I should try it there.

While my injectable is Enbrel, I shoot-up wherever I can keep the syringe stable and use my fingers to press the injector. Most often that is my left thigh, but I do rotate the site as much as possible. It is often a crap shoot! I noticed you mentioned B12.  I  take Humira injections and MTX for RA.  Do you find the B12 adds noticeable benefit?
