Prayers and good thoughts for Jarek please | Arthritis Information

My grandson,Jarek, is 11 mos old and is going through a rough time. My daughter and I had him in the ER Friday night due to fever of 103.9, vomiting and loose bowels ( he is normally very constipated from the soy milk). Learned he had both ears infescted, upper resp infection adn a rash was from the infection, on top of it he is getting four molars in....poor little guy is really sick.

He would not stop crying yesterday (7hrs) and he woudl not eat or drink he became dehydrated...so back to another ER. They tried to put an IV in him but heis veins were too little and they could not get it in plus the dehydration was sorta bad. SO they ordered popcycles and all kind of juices and we finally got about a teaspoon in him.

After 5 hrs of this great staff working with this hysterical baby they sent us home cause we were getting bits of fluid in him and he woudl prob sleep better at home.

He went to bed on schedule, woke up around 2 this a/m and took 4 oz of juice...I was so relived.

Just a prayer or two for those who pray sent this way would be most helpful, good thoughts woudl help as well.

Thankyou!

Please, keep us posted. Prayers and thoughts are with you, how is he doing Yes, more prayers.Oh, Bless his little heart. Prayers going up.Let us know how he is doing. It is scary when our kids get sick-especially with high fevers.HI Jode, prayers gone up and as he has improved slightly, remember that kids are very resilient and can have a complete health turnaround in the blink of an eye, so heres hoping for that with Jarek, good luck from Janie.Prayers for your baby boy and prayers for Mom and Grandmother also. Bless his little heart. How old is now? Jode, I hope all is much improved.  Please let us know and kisses to Jarek and good dreams of summer days for him! Thank you all so very much! Jarek is doing so much better now thanks to all your prayers and good thoughts. He was one sick little boy.

He will be 1 year old on the 8th, he had a flu virus, fever up to 103.9, 4 molars coming in, a bacterial infetion with a rash, 2 ear infections, a sore throat annnnd upper respiratory infection.

He finally ate 2 bites of a popcycle followed by 3 ounces of diluted juice Sunday morning. HE was so listless and cried all Friday , and saturday. At the hospital they tried twice to place the picks in him for the intravenous without luck. The Supervising Dr. came in many times watching him and decided he could go home after the 5 hours we were there cause he figured Jarek would rest better at home than in the hospital. If he did not he would have to be admitted.HE said if he did not drink by Sunday afternoon to bring him back to the ER. That man stayed with us the entire time and when he had to leave it was just briefly, he would return with orders for liquids and asked if we wanted magazines, would pat JArek on the back and try to get him to smile.

Now how many Supervising ER Physicians do you know of that would do that? We were so very fortunate.

Daughter and I were exhausted, well actually beyond exhausted, Jarek wanted walked and would not sit still unless he took a 2 minute nap. Jarek was totally limp most of the time. We had Dan's mom come over Sunday to give us a break, I had maybe 2 hours of sleep since Friday and Allyson had 3 and I still had all the vomit clothes and towels to wash. It scared us so badly. Dan's mom took over and it was just a wonderful relief to know she was right there.

Today he is doing better, he sleeps a lot but they said in the ER that the Amoxocillin was working cause the ears looked better when we left. HE is on Tylenol and the amox. with baby oragel whenever he needs it. He had 2   8 oz bottles of apple juice today, ate well yesterday but not so good today.

Again, thank you all so much for your support and prayers it really does mean the world to us and has helped tremendously. I believe full heartedly in prayer adn good thoughts, he perked up on Sunday adn Monday he was smiling!

I have just been super busy with this little guy and recuperating from the wedding and now the kids are on their honeymoon:

you guessed it, Allyson called me this morning, Dan was up all last night with a high fever and vomiting.....We are the definition of Murphy's LAw I think.

I told her to take care of him and enjoy their hotel room, no diapering and the fact she doesn;t have to go to school or work.

Life goes on..........

Thankyou!!!!!!!!!!
Jode

So glad that Jarek is doing better,  sorry about Dan, but he's a big boy, he'll be ok.
I hate it when the little ones get sick,  My great-grandson's birthday is July 8th.  He's already 5, they grow up  too fast, so enjoy him.
