We went to a wedding on the weekend.  The daughter of very good friends got married on Saturday and I was asked to make the Wedding Cake.  Just thought I'd show you the how the cake turned out (and the bride too, she was stunning!)  Groom wasn't too shabby either, coming in at 6 foot 6!  We ahd a fabulous afternoon and evening.  I made 3 more cakes other than the wedding cake to be cut for the dessert.  It was a chocolate mud cake and they served it with a dollop of cream and a swirl of strawberry coulis!  The Bridal Car was an REO but my hubby wasn't sure if it was a Speedwagon.

pammy4162009-06-29 04:18:23Pammy, that cake looks absolutely gorgeous! Congratulations! I am a caterer and have done 100's of weddings but never a wedding cake.

Have you ever watched 'Ace of Cakes'? I love watching some masterpieces being created and they sure know their job. Lovely stuff.

Tha bride looks just beautiful, love her curvy body. Rubenesque shape. Gotta love it.

( BTW... I could spread that groom on toast for breakfast! lol What a great set of images you present here Pam.
I have one of these to do in October and I'm already starting to pack myself.
Not baking a cake though of which you have done really well.

Top Stuff.

Ps: We are going to have to meet up one day...
Thanks Stephen.

Yes we are going to have to meet up one day.  Have to catch up for lunch or something, either down your way by the beach or up here in the hills.
Nice pictures.Beautiful photos, Pam!  Nice looking couple and beautiful cake!Pam, you are super talented. What a beautiful bride and groom.xPrick(pig)cushion, we know you can eat the whole cake in one sitting, hell, you can de-bone a chicken from across the room!  Your ASS is proof of that! All I can say is WOW.  Everything and everybody is beautiful.   The cake looks too good to eat! It is like a work of art on its own! I would have refused to cut it if it were my wedding cake. I would have took it home and froze it and looked at it everyday. LOL!Amazing talent to create such a beautiful cake.

Pam. that's lovely..... YOu created a work of art!!

A lovely couple .... the bride and groom........
Wonderful photos and what can I say about that delicious looking cake that hasn't been said by everyone else?  It's unique and beautiful at the same time.  I baked my son's wedding cake and I know how hard it is.  I baked that darn cake three times in 2 weeks until I got it perfect.  The seniors at the senior center had desert for 2 weeks.
The bride and groom are so relaxed looking, and did I say beautiful?  Good work.

Are you working on any special jewelry?   Lindy

Yes, again, great photos. I made the mother of the Bride's jewellery.  I've been doing more knitting the last couple of months than jewellery.  Somehow winter seems to be made for knitting LOL.  I've been flaring a fair bit too lately, the knitting is easier than trying to think about jewellery designs.

Great work!  The cake is amazing.  I, too, agree that the bride is absolutely stunning!
