so a few hours ago

my mom had to call the diabetes doctor office and she gave my blood sugar numbers to the answering machine

and a few minutes ago, they called back. lately we havent gotten to talk to the actual doctor, we just get a clinician. or however u spell it. so they talked for a while. and the news is.

i DONT have to check my blood in the morning anymore

and im doing good at night and she sayd to keep it that way.

she asked how long i was gonna be takin the prednsione
cuz she's pretty sure thats whats making it higher at night

i take 3 prednisone pills in the morning

but only 1 at night

so she thinks thats why night time is so high

but anyways my finger will be happy
its gettin pretty icky lookin from poking it EVERY day, but now it wont be as sore
yay

and my mom asked about that test i had to see if i actually had diabetes
she sayd she'd call back later, if they got the results

ugh, ive been waiting a LONG time for those results
lol
awwww.. that IS good news, Star!!
I know I wouldn't want to prick my finger all the time..

yeah doing it twice a day hurtz alot
i ONLY can get blood out of one finger
so im stuck usin the same one all the time

but now doing it only at night should make it less painful
we do it so much it looks all shriviled up sorta lol
so many tiny holes in it
lol

but the only part im sad about is
they still didnt have the results
i dont think
and they were supposed to have them LAST week
lol

so im happy except the test
YAY YAY even more good news
the real diabetes doctor finally called
she sayd she thought the night time numbers were ok
but now she wants to try and get me below 140 at night
so thats gonna be hard, but i'll try

and the results of that test she got back
showed that i dont have diabetes, its just the prednisone stuff
and that its not likely that i'll ever get diabetes

so Yay more good newz That is great news star. I hope it continues to do good.

My mom was put on pred when they thought she was having breathing problems, and it was affecting her blood sugar really bad. So... they had to take her off the pred. So... now her doctor will not give her pred in any amount any more. I believe she was on a low dose like 10mg.

oh wow that was a low dose

i take 40 mg now

a month ago, when i was in the ER with my blood sugar being 358
i had been takin 90 mg of prednisone

so i just hope i can keep my blood sugar low
then i'll be happy
It probably bothered her more because she was already a diabetic, hers was not induced by the pred like yours is... it just kept making hers high. oh ok
yeah ur probably right
